Speakers

Proposal Submission:

The program is currently set, but CAMT is still receiving a few proposals for sessions.  If you are interested, please contact the CAMT office for instructions on submitting a proposal.

Speaker Guidelines

  1. Speakers may not use sessions to sell a product. Speakers who violate this guideline will be escorted from the building.
  2. Titles should be short and eye-catching.
  3. Descriptions should accurately describe the session and be written in complete sentences and be grammatically correct.  Descriptions that are too long for the program book will be edited to fit the space allowed.
  4. AV equipment - All rooms will be set with a computer projector, a document camera, a power strip, and a screen. Rooms for 80 and above will also have a lapel mike. Computers will not be provided. Graphing calculators must be requested by speakers through Texas Instruments.
  5. Only the lead speaker will be registered and have registration waived. Additional speakers must register and pay the participant registration fee.  This does not include TCTM membership.
  6. Speakers are responsible for reading and following the Speaker Guidelines.
  7. Start and end your session at the time listed in the program book. Do not begin your sessions early even if the session is full – this is very confusing to participants and to the program committee. You have the responsibility to present for the full amount of time scheduled for your presentation. If you finish early, offer a question and answer time.
  8. Please make sure home addresses are given for any presenters.  CAMT is a volunteer organization.  Many calls are made by volunteers after business hours.
  9. If you do not receive a mailed confirmation letter about your session by late December, please assume that there is a problem and contact the CAMT office.

Speaker Registration

If you have received notification that your proposal has been accepted, the CAMT office will register you for the conference.  If there is a second speaker, or multiple speakers, only the initial speaker will be registered and have their registration fee waived.  Additional items (keynote session, TCTM membership, or a free ticket to Sphereland) can be obtained by contacting the CAMT office.
